Five on Friday: ...and I give You...

5!
...with feelings of the Swedish fall.
Falling coloured leaves on the lawn in the garden,...

...the last buds of a musk are opened up(and the rose is 'Trier'),...

...the last pretty flowers of the White Swan ( 'Anemone hupehensis')are dancing in the border...

...and the garden articles are waiting for a better place to stay over the cold and icy Winterdays.
Yes, soon, very soon, we are there, in the grey month of November.

In my fifth picture I will show some peculiar food for modern people,( or not?)
In old times people (in Sweden) ate everything from the animals in the farm, and here are boiled pigtails. Eatable and exciting; tasts as ham.
I was talking to an elder man born in 30's about this meal, and his face brightened up: "Yummiie, yummie!"
Nowadays pigtails, piglegs and other residues are sold to other countries, for example Carribean and  African countries, as a delicacyfood.

Amy with LOVE MADE MY HOME is the hostess of "Five On Friday". Go and visit her HERE for see more fives, and maybe you will make your own ones.

HAPPY FRIDAY&

Lovely photos and the blue in the garden is just stunning. Yes pigtails a great delicacy in some people's eyes but not in others. My father in law used to love eating pigs trotters x

Beautiful photos and I love your garden ornaments. It is funny how tastes change over generations. I remember my Grandmother making calves foot jelly, which is virtually forgotten today.

Your garden ornaments are a delight, stunning. I have never come across pigs tails before, how times and tastes have changed. Have a wonderful weekend.

It is always a joy visiting with you and seeing all your pretty things.
But that food is definitely my taste. So far, we have not had any cooler weather. In fact, they are saying may have a mild winter. Have a blessed day.

The blue glass looks so pretty in the garden. I've read about people eating pigtails, but I've never tasted one.
